Portfolio: BMP-2 K.O.

Hi all, it's been a while since I posted to blogger.com, mainly because it is easier to use facebook. But here is the most recent model from me.

It is a Trumpeter kit with Master club wheels, tracks, a lot of added detail including scratched parts. The finish is also rather experimental for me and as this is my first 1/35 scale modern armour model I wanted to do it original.

The vehicle is based on Eastern Ukraine events in 2014 and it is a Ukrainian army vehicle that suffered from a mine in the suspension and got more hits from probably another BMP-2 judging by the size of the penetrations. After that it burned completely.

Hope you like it!

AT-ST diorama.

It's been a long time since I posted, but here we are ;)

This is a collaborative effort by me (vehicle build, painting and weathering) and grand master Jorge Porto (diorama base, vegatation, weathering). Rick Lawler, Ricardo Merino and Oscar Erbi also added some weathering to the walker. Partially it was prepared at home and finalized at Mosonshow 2016 with support from Robert Deak from Tank Makett Bolt. Thanks to all visitors of our workshop. Kit is Bandai 1/48 excellent offering and base is made using numerous scratched elements. Hope you like it.

On my bench, February.

Hi all, this is Kfz. 15 Horch from Bronco, getting closer to build finish.

I only added some wiring, otherwise it is an OOB build.

This is a full resin kit from Plusmodel, built it during the last year and it is of a great quality!

Now some paintwork in progress....finished soon ;)

T-10 getting closer to finish.

Having fun and struggle with the weathering, but slowly getting to the finish line. Graffiti as per references from Plzen 1968.

T-10 painting started....

Hi all, I finally added RMG cables (here on the left to compare with kit cable) and started painting that large tank.

Hope to finish it by the end of this month....

On my bench: T-14 Armata.

This is a Takom kit, 1/35 scale T-14 Russian Armata. Builds ok so far, but I am not so happy with how this plastic reacts with Tamiya glue. Takes a bit longer time to harden.

2015 round up and happy new year!

It was a good year. 11 finished models (I know, many small scales, but also a very challenging Panzer IV Ausf F. DAK in 1/35). Seminars at Mosonshow and Bulldog fest, 4 articles for MMI, various other contributions including dozens of reviews, an interview, a book chapter, quick tips and so on. I met a lot of great modellers at the competitions and online and I am looking forward to what we can all achieve in next year.
