Showtime - FT-17 in 1/72 scale.

Merry Christmas dear readers and followers. Here are 2 1/72 Renault FT-17 tanks.

I made a small base for them as well (one for both:) ).

Lavande is from Noch. Base made of styrofoam and balsa. Groundwork - DAS clay and Wilder/Vallejo/AMMO/Mig pigments fixed with isopropanol. Small stones and litter - Javis.

Pz.Bef.Wg.III Ausf J.

Here are some images of a finished model. I based it on that image - possibly the very last operational Pz.Bef.Wg.III Ausf J. Abandoned in Danzig, March 1945, when the Red Army arrived to the city.

Hope you like. This is my last 1/35 model for 2014 and there will be 2 finished Ft-17 during the next week.

That's cute!

Flyhawk FT-17 cast turret + Dragon Type 95.

These are two 1/72 scale kits that I built for Armorama. Flyhawk's FT-17 is a real gem with sharp detail and smart detail break done, photo-etched enhancements are included in the kit and you get 2 tanks in one box - can be finished with alternative armament and idler/sprocket, 6 markings options. Type 95 from Dragon seems very poor in comparison to FT-17 - bad parts fit, average detail level and oversized mesh on the exhaust + those DS tracks...

PzBefWg III, getting there.

Here is what I have after white wash and weathering with oil paints. The tracks are white metal from MasterClub and the figure is an excellent Stalingrad Miniatures offering painted by my friend Kyle Nelson (feel free to check his blog for his latest steel beast!). Still minor touches here and there remain and then I will spend some time on making a street scene with that tank. Let's hope it will be finished during 2014...
