Modelling Churchills - Book 1

Guys, you might have seen the Irish Churchill that I painted for Chris Meddings. This is a unique model made for a modelling book which is going to be printed sooner or later. The project combines excellent building skills from Chris and painting skills from various authors like Kristof Pulinckx,Jim Guld, me and Sean Mcconnell.

To speed up the process a kickstarter was created. Please have a look and support the project if you are into Churchill tanks.

Here is a new book where I was involved in research. Take a look on it if you like Soviet made stuff.

In this book you will find all the inspiration you need to make original Soviet vehicles with a wide and never seen variety of colors, effects, and camouflage. Through 80 pages this book discovers that the Soviets vehicles of the Second World War were not only painted green. Here you have more than 180 profiles which are strictly based on historical photos, many of them never seen before, in which the colors have been studied in depth. The book includes in depth information for each of the vehicles shown as well as a technical introduction to the Soviet paint, its chemistry, and its application, obtained from sources from former USSR countries. This is the definitive guide to the colors in the Soviet period from 1935 to 1945.

C4-OPEN 2014

Last weekend I spent in Malmø in a company of Scandinavias best modellers - Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark were well represented.

I had 6 models with me and all 6 were awarded, so I came back with some new kits and new books.

One of the highlights of the show were seminars from Mig Jimenez and it was very inspiring. Hope to meet him again another day.

For those who were not at the show but would like to get an overview of models - follow this link (requires FB account).

Mark IV Female, Beutepanzer.

Here is what I got so far. Maybe some final touches...I am not sure yet...

In colour

And in B/W. Looks close to WW1 original images, IMHO.
