ADGZ, ready for weathering.

Do you remember how it looked in the beginning? Can't believe that it was that bad initially... Now I am happy with it. More dust and other effects will follow soon.

p.s. I got TankArt today from Michael Rinaldi - what a book! Worth every cent. So much information written by one of the best artists. I found that it is cheaper and faster to order from Historix agents if you are in Europe.

ADGZ update

Sorry guys, don't have time to do a proper post about Flakpanzer I, but it will come sooner or later.

Here is my progress with ADGZ, painted basecoat, applied decals and did a wash with oils and turpentine. Looks much better then the piece of plastic it was in the beginning :)  More to follow, stay tuned!

ADGZ, getting there.

I spent some time on it during the weekend and here is the current state.
All MG's are replaced, so are the nuts on the turret. I need to change tools and jerry cans, drill out the main gun and the exhaust, replace some more nuts and rivets and then probably polish and prime. We'll see how it goes :)

If you want that kit - you can order it here. (I have no affiliation with the shop).

On my bench, February.

Ok, winter is almost over and I am done with my winter Flakpanzer I. It was a fun build and I will post more images later.

The Marder IID is progressing nicely and I finished weathering the interior. Next would be the assembly of fighting compartment and finally the gun. So far I enjoy this model 100% and I can only recommend it for fans of German WWII armour.

Finally, another kit arrived to my bench - ADGZ from AMG of Ukraine. What a weird armoured car! I have some progress on it but it is not that tempting as Marder.

New awards - DiShow2012 and another publication.

Each year the biggest and most famous Russian language modelling website holds it's annual competition and this year is not an exception. So far only the visitors votes are finished and the Jury would make thier choice later in February or March.
Nevertheless, I got 2 awards from visitors in 1/48 scale.

1st place for Staghound Mk.I
2nd place for Crusader Mk.III

Both models can be found in my blog by clicking on this post labels (tags).

As for the publication - my Staghound AA is featured in 2nd issue of M-Hobby, the only Russian-language magazine for modellers.

Otherwise I started building the excellent Marder IID from Bronco. Looks cute so far.
